What is ToyotaCare?

ToyotaCare is a car maintenance plan included with every new Toyota vehicle purchase or lease. It covers all factory-recommended services for 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. Along with this, it also includes 24-hour road assistance for 2 years and unlimited miles. 

This plan is designed to make caring for your vehicle simple and convenient. Having ToyotaCare means your vehicle will be serviced by manufacturer-trained technicians and with genuine Toyota OEM parts. Both of these are major factors in prolonging the lifespan of your vehicle. Toyota-trained mechanics have specialized certificates that ensure they’re trained to keep your vehicle in top-quality condition. OEM parts also guarantee the best quality and fit for your car. 


How much does ToyotaCare cost?

ToyotaCare comes standard with every new Toyota purchase or lease at no additional cost.


Where am I covered by ToyotaCare?

The ToyotaCare maintenance plan is valid at any participating Toyota dealership in the United States. The 24-hour roadside assistance is available anywhere in the continental U.S. and Alaska. 


Do I have to get my maintenance services done at United Toyota Imperial? 

While it is not required, we highly recommend it for a few reasons. When you come to our dealership, you can be confident your vehicle is in good hands. Our car service technicians are among some of the most experienced and efficient in the industry. And lastly, we will work endlessly to ensure all your needs are met. 


What is included in the car maintenance plan? 

ToyotaCare covers scheduled maintenance at 5,000 mile or 6-month intervals. This equals about 4 free services during the plan. We will send you timely reminders so you don’t forget your service date. Additionally, we will also keep track of all your services, which can be viewed anytime in the owner’s section of Toyota’s website.

Here is what’s included in the recommended service guide for the first 25,000 miles*: 

5,000 miles or 6 months: 

  • Tire rotation
  • Multi-point inspection
  • Inspect & adjust fluid levels

10,000 miles or 12 months: 

  • Engine oil & filter change
  • Tire rotation
  • Multi-point inspection
  •  Inspect & adjust fluid levels

15,000 miles or 18 months:

  • Tire rotation
  • Multi-point inspection
  • Inspect & adjust fluid levels

20,000 miles or 24 months: 

  • Engine oil & filter change
  • Tire rotation
  • Multi-point inspection
  • Inspect & adjust fluid levels

*Certain models require a different maintenance schedule as described in their Maintenance Guide. Excludes those items listed in the Maintenance Guide under Special/Severe Operating Conditions.

What is included in the 24-hour roadside assistance?

Roadside assistance is available for 2 years from the effective date and for unlimited miles. The services included are:

  • Battery Jump Start
  • Lockout Protection
  • Emergency Fuel Delivery
  • Tire Services (Impaired tired will be replaced with your inflated spare)
  • Towing (To the nearest Toyota dealership or to the Toyota dealership of your choice within 25 miles of the nearest dealership)
  • Winching (Extrication from any ditch, mud, sand, or snow. Vehicle must be immediately adjacent to a regularly traveled road and capable of being serviced with standard servicing equipment)

Does ToyotaCare cover repairs?

No, it does not cover repairs. 


Is ToyotaCare transferable if I sell my vehicle? 

As long as the coverage period hasn’t expired, ToyotaCare is fully transferable to private buyers. 


Can I extend my ToyotaCare?

Yes, you can upgrade to ToyotaCare Plus for a small fee. Your vehicle needs to be less than 37 months old with less than 31,000 miles on the odometer to be eligible. Contact us for more information on extended warranty plans.
